Family Pet Drags Newborn From Bed, Assumed Vicious by AC - You Decide

Dakota, a 4-year-old Native American Indian dog, took her family's newborn out of his crib and carried the baby into the heavily wooded backyard, authorities said. The baby, Alexander James Smith was hospitalized in critical condition with two collapsed lungs and a skull fracture. The incident is under investigation. Dakota was taken by animal control.

Smith, the father and Dakota's owner, said the dog was treating the baby as a puppy and wasn't being vicious.
